| Description: | To provide patient care and technical skills in the specialty imaging equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes. |
| Duties: | o Prepares patient for specialty imaging (nuclear medicine) procedures by accurately assessing patient’s needs and providing patient education.
o Operates specialty imaging equipment ( nuclear medicine) for image production, documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
o Prepares patient’s studies for interpretation by physician.
o Proper radiation safety handling and administration of radioisotopes
o Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
o Performs other related duties as required.
o Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to other radiology personnel when required.

| Qualifications: | Graduate of an accredited program in nuclear medicine technology. Certification by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. |
